A shorter flight along the Annapurna wall and around Machhapuchhre.
Overview
From Pokhara the mountains start almost immediately. The flight climbs out over Phewa Lake and runs along the Annapurna massif – Annapurna I to IV, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri to the west and Manaslu east – circling Machhapuchhre, the fishtail peak that has never been climbed to its summit.
It is shorter and cheaper than the Everest flight and, because the range is so close to the town, arguably more dramatic: the peaks are alongside rather than in the distance.
