Land in the mountains rather than fly past them – Kala Patthar, Annapurna Base Camp and beyond.
Overview
A helicopter does what a fixed-wing flight cannot: it puts you down. The Everest route flies up the Khumbu past Namche and Tengboche, lands at Kala Patthar or Everest View for breakfast with the mountain in front of you, and has you back in Kathmandu before lunch. The Annapurna equivalent runs from Pokhara into the sanctuary itself.
These are genuinely high landings and the stop on the ground is deliberately short, because that altitude is not somewhere to linger straight off a helicopter. Groups are small – five passengers is a typical maximum.
Charter and seat-sharing are both possible, and we will be straightforward with you about which makes sense for your group and your dates.
